PLN - Primary - PE Subject Leader Training Programme Level 1

Professional Learning Network, in partnership with Active Essex, is running a training programme, in response to local need, for Primary PE and Sports Subject Leaders. The programme consists of six half day sessions.

The sessions will provide opportunities for delegates to:

  • Develop their awareness of the National Picture of PE and Sports in schools
  • Develop their understanding of the new National Curriculum
  • Review and develop assessment schemes linked to the new Curriculum
  • Ensure that they are Ofsted ready
  • Build support networks with other colleagues.

PLN - Primary - Developing Subject Leadership

Professional Learning Network is running a training programme, in response to local need, for Primary colleagues, who are new to, or have recently been appointed to Subject Leadership. This will be suitable for subject leaders of any subject and will include generic messages on the role of being a subject leader. The course will be over four sessions with gap tasks in between to support subject leaders in carrying out their role. 

The sessions will provide opportunities for delegates to

  • Understand the role of the subject leader; 
  • Develop their knowledge and skills in monitoring and evaluating the curriculum across the primary school; 
  • Have the opportunity to identify key areas for development

PLN - Primary - Language Learning Today Training programme

Professional Learning Network is running a training programme for Primary language teachers and coordinators in response to local need and based on the Programme of Study in MFL.  They represent an opportunity to share and enhance our current practice as Language teachers focussing on the key skills which enable pupils to become more autonomous and confident linguists.  These support and development sessions will take place over four afternoons from September 2014. 

PLN - Primary NQT Conferences 2014-2015

The conferences for NQTs in Primary Schools, are personalised to meet the needs of the NQTs and address aspects of all of the Teacher Standards.
